Jane Barrash - author, trainer, human development specialist, documentary producer and figure skating champion - is Executive Director of Continuum Center, an education, training and development corporation founded in 1979 to explore consciousness, human capacity and the interconnectedness of life for personal, professional and planetary transformation.  Jane has been with Continuum for 28 years, working with internationally known scientists and cultural leaders, synthesizing their research and teachings into a training program developing the proverbial "other 90%" of brain/mind capacity.

Jane has been teaching her Discovery of Self programs to audiences ranging from Fortune 500 executives and medical professionals to maximum security inmates, high-risk youth, addicts and the homeless, since 1986.  She is currently working for Black United Fund-IL on the south side of Chicago teaching DoS for gang intervention and men and women getting out of prison and returning to the neighborhood.

In her seminars and workshops, Jane draws from decades of working with neuroscientists, physicians, biologists, physicists, NASA scientists, corporate leaders, cultural leaders and creativity experts.   Jane speaks about key internal resources and new operating assumptions that together create a new model of health, productivity, performance and possibility.

Her topics include:

  • The limitations of the current scientific paradigm and how it inhibits human capacity.
  • The nature of consciousness and how it impacts all circumstances and outcomes.
  • Strategies to maximize productivity, health and personal/professional relationships.
  • How to transform a culture of "us-against-them" to one of personal responsibility.

Jane lives her philosophy of taking quantum leaps in life.  Returning to competition after 36 years, she is a two-time MN State figure skating champion and a three-time national medalist, and she recently finished directing her first film, Making the Quantum Leap.  She is author of “Youinverse – Book I: The Science of Expanding Possibility and Stories of Interconnectedness” and is currently working on Book II (2000-2012).

Making the Quantum Leap:
Over the rainbow, through the ‘hoods and down the rabbit hole…On Ice (click on photo/DVD cover below to watch 8-min preview)

From inner city classrooms to ice arenas, doctor’s visits to top scientific commentary, Making the Quantum Leap is the first real-life, real-time documentary story about the concepts and theories of consciousness that so many other movies, and millions of people, are now talking about.  With humor, drama, surprise and inspiration, this movie is a powerful demonstration of how to make “impossible” things come true in our magical, interconnected universe.

Jane Barrash – age 50 – back on the ice!

Jane won a gold medal skating in the MN State Championships in her division!

Jane Barrash “retired” from figure skating at age thirteen and 36 years later announced she would train for a 50th birthday performance.  Despite many twists and turns (and a broken foot), the Quantum Leap Event was held April 21, 2007.

Footage and photos captured a modern-day fairy tale unfolding amidst scenes and synchronicities that could never have been scripted, and the story just kept going.   Produced by Martin Berglin and Nic Bochek; directed by Jane Barrash.

Jane kept up her skating after her Quantum Leap event and in her first competition since she was a pre-teen, in 2007 (at age 50) Jane Barrash outperformed competitors as young as 21 and became a state champion.  In 2008 she won a silver medal at the Adult Nationals in Lake Placid, New York (the performance is included in the film), and in 2011 won a world championship.
